Days 133/135

Friday 10th to Monday 13th July

We spent 3 more nights here and enjoyed all the lovely walks and gorges the Litchfield National Park has to offer. An idyllic time swimming many different pools in unforgettable gorges and hope the photos tell the story of our time spent here. We pack up on Monday and several people are waiting for us to leave for our campspot!! We are heading north to Berry Hot Springs on our way to Darwin. We have booked into the Hidden Valley Tourist Park at Berrimah for a week and from what we have heard we won’t have trouble filling our days. Berry Hot springs were a nice swimming pool and imagine on weekends and in summer it would be very crowded with locals. We are lucky there are not too many people here today. Arrived at our Cp in Darwin about 2pm and caught up on the tedious necessities like washing clothes!! We decide to head to the Wharf area for dinner and it is such a lovely evening and for a Monday night there are people out everywhere. There are tables and chairs on the wharf and you just choose what you want to eat from many different stalls offering all sorts of seafood, Thai , Chinese and BarBq delicacies cooked to perfection. We all had fish and chips and it tasted freshly caught and was cheap!! Can’t get better than that! We will have to go back again as there are lots of other foods we want to try.
