Day 8/Friday 6th March
After a bike ride and coffee. We arranged to meet my friend Cathy Hassett. Cathy and I did our nursing training at Sydney Hospital about 35 years ago. Although I have seen her since it was lovely to catch up and hear about her family and she is also recovering from a serious operation. Cathy took Alan and I to a lovely little local Italian cafe where we not only had a delicious meal but she insisted we try the best Italian Gelato in Sydney. Where is a gym when you need one!! We then drove back to Wendy and Nick’s where all Nick’s family were meeting for a sausage sizzle as well as Wendy’s daughter in law ,Natasha and grand daughter Kirra. It was lovely to catch up with everyone and after saying our goodbyes and after another exhausting day drove back to our camp at Lane Cove.
