"The Fridge part hasn't arrived" ()*)*&^&*^&^%^%$%

Day 95
Wendy and Nick seem to be having fridge problems too....hope it’s not catching!! Actually they have been having problems for a couple months so they decide to head back to Karratha to get it looked at. Perhaps we can get a spotters fee!! We get back to Karratha and we leave our trailer with the guy who is going to replace the gas struts and put the stone guard on. Alan calls the fridge repairer who tells him that the part to repair our fridge hasn’t arrived yet!!!!! Alan spends some time on the phone then to the Waeco Manager back on the Gold Coast and for anyone out there who thinks Al never gets mad then you needed to listen in on that conversation!! The outcome was that they were going to express fly the part to us and it would arrive tomorrow!!!! Whenever we have had breakdowns or things have broken on this trip we always seem to be in a place where there is not a great deal to do or we have already seen around so we are not excited at the prospect of another night here!! We pick up the trailer which has been fixed!! and decide to check out the other cp in town (just for a change) We pay our $35!!! And drive in to the Karratha CP......OMG it was filled with all sorts of permanent vans and humpy’s AAARRGGHHH!!! It was very filthy so we turned around and headed right out of there!! We did get a refund thank god!! And we went back to the other park where we had stayed last week. This is the 3rd time we have had to return to a CP we had been staying at and we don’t like doing that at all with our time running out to see things further north!! Unfortunately we are at the mercy of people who don’t really give a damn!!!! Wendy and Nick do get their fridge fixed and will stay back at Point Samson tonight and head north tomorrow. Alan takes a walk up to the town lookout to get his mind off our frustrations and I read another book!!
