9th hole of the Lakes Course at Joondalup

Day 61

We pack up and decide on one last swim at “Our” beach which didn’t disappoint. We decide to drive to Kalamunda in the Perth Hills. It is a lovely little Historical town which would be a cool change from Perth in the summer heat. Not only are there magnificent views of the city but we stumble across a very well kept display village which is very well maintained by dedicated volunteers. This coming weekend they are having a celebration with markets, a harvest festival and we are sorry we can’t stay. This is also the northern start...or finish of the Bibbulmun track and it is great to be able to get a bookend photo of this landmark. I am fully recovered from my huge walk of a couple weeks ago and would still love to walk the whole track ......someday...
Well, we have a surprise.........Our lovely girls have booked us into a Resort for the next 2 nights for Alan and my birthday’s!! Joondalup resort is north of the city and it has a lovely golf course as well. I am so excited and not sure if I will be able to handle the luxury!! A real bed...a bathroom...a TV....will be fantastic. I would like to have a manicure/pedicure too so will see...and I need to get to the hairdressers too, the possibilities are endless!! We arrive at the resort and it is truly gorgeous, not sure if it’s because we haven’t had luxury for a while but I do think this is a magnificent resort. There are 27 holes of golf here and as we are playing 18 tomorrow, we decide to play the other 9 this afternoon. Photos may not do the course justice but hope you enjoy, we are really looking forward to tomorrow.
