Ruins of Eucla Telegraph Station

The Border

Didn't see any of these animals but had to get a pic.of sign

Day 38
We get an early start as we still have a long way to travel. Wendy and Nick have a problem with the wiring in their van and also their fridge is not working properly so just as well we have let all our food supplies go down for the border crossing. No fruit, veg’s or honey and we cross over into Western Australia mid morning. Fuel is expensive ($1.60 per litre diesel) we try to drive economically and keep hoping the fuel will be cheaper at the next roadhouse. Alan and I decide that we would like to try and make at least Norseman by the night and it is 700km so we leave Wendy and Nick and will meet them somewhere in a week or so. A long day driving but I am able to do some cross words to pass time as I normally get car sick but the roads are so straight that I don’t have a problem. We arrive in Norseman about 5:30 and are very happy to have a shower. Ride our bikes to the pub. As it’s a Sunday night it is fairly quiet in town. We have had 2 time changes today and we think it is 2 hours behind Cudgen time. It’s a bit cooler tonight which is nice for sleeping but outside the camper with no awning up it gets a bit breezy.
