Amazing sand dunes!! and No sign of Thelma

Famous Surfing spot, Cactus Beach

Beautiful Sand Dunes at Fowlers Bay

Day 36
Mouse trap still empty!!We are going to take a drive to Penong today, which is about 70km away and I will buy a new mouse trap there. . Alan had a dream last night that Thelma had decided to have her babies in our car because it feels like home!! I had better buy several traps!! It is a glorious morning and we take a walk to the top of one of the pristine sand dunes, which overlook Fowlers Bay and our caravan park and enjoy the spectacular sunrise. Penong is a small town which is known as the town of windmills and are there to supply water to the town homes. They are all grouped together above a small artesian basin. A quick visit to the museum and craft display, Wendy and I make a couple of purchases..... to support the local community ,and after lunch at the pub we take a drive to Cactus beach, about 20km away, which is a famous surfing spot. The waves are huge and there are a couple of brave surfers enjoying the swell. Back to camp for an early night as we have a long drive tomorrow across the Nullarbor.
