Cape Le Grand National Park....Cést Magnifique!!!

Day 41

Decided to drive to Cape Le Grand National Park today, about 70km drive mostly on sealed roads and Wendy and Nick are going to come also. We knew it would be lovely, but with the perfect weather and no wind it was absolutely spectacular. For any of you who have visited here would know just how beautiful this coastline is. I took many photos but not sure if the pics will show the true colour of the ocean. An artist’s dream with the pristine white sands and clear pale blue shoreline gradually turning to deeper blues. Most of the beaches were deserted and we swam in the clearest water I think I have ever swum in. Water temp was about 20 degrees and air temp 26 degrees. We drove to a settlement just outside the Nat. Park, to the Condingup Tavern for a delicious Orleans Bay Snapper lunch and a cold beer. We had just enough time for a quick dip at Wharton’s Beach before heading back to Esperance. What a fantastic day!! We will be sad to leave this area tomorrow but the crowds will be here for Easter and we will be glad to get away from it all up to Kalgoorlie.
